New Options for Breast Reconstruction

Experts Say Many Breast Cancer Survivors Are Uninformed About the Choices
By Kathleen Doheny
WebMD Health News
Reviewed by Louise Chang, MD

Sept. 17, 2008 -- About 78,000 U.S. women undergo a mastectomy each year,

but just 57,100 had breast reconstruction in 2007, according to experts speaking

at a web seminar hosted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

For a minority of women, reconstruction of the breast after a cancer diagnosis is

simply not important, says Roberta Gartside, MD, a Virginia plastic surgeon and

breast cancer survivor who spoke.

But other women, says Gartside, are not fully informed of their options, face

financial barriers, or both.

These obstacles exist, Gartside and other speakers say, even though insurance

coverage for post-mastectomy breast reconstruction is mandated by the 1998

Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act. more

A pilot study by Pamela Schultz from Washington University at Spokane and her

More about Orangecarbon collective and me;

Orangecarbon studio , is a private, small in house studio located at Kenmore Heights

just few blocks north of Bothellway NE, SR522.

My own understanding of yoga started years ego in NYC ABT and University of Tennessee

where My group was required to do 20 minuts of yoga for dance warm up before Modern routines.
I had no idea about the more advanced second nature effects of yoga and what it was doing to

me intrinsically.

Once I realized I dont need sedatives to go through my dental procedures and had tolerance

for lots of things mental or physical, I realized that I have gone through an unusual

transformation without my own understanding and knowledge.

My mind and body had separated and could operate independently as two sperate entities..!

Later I realized that My mind and body could be watching on yet another part of my being my real self.

Now at PNW, I have developed my own style of mixture of dance for gracious yoga and some

students are listening and wanting to learn it. more

 Growth and Yoga lecture serries

Growth will happen in several dimesions throughout life regardless.
Though growth can be +/-linear or circular..
Emotional cultures or cultures which accept some degree of emotions without regarding it a sign of
neurosis, growth is circular and redundant. However negative growth is avoided by means of exhaustion.
Logical cultures with emotions under control, will grow linear but their growth can become negative as
well.
Best is balanced growth.
Emotions will safeguard us from growing linear negative and logical emotional management
will maintain positive linear growth and maturity.
Emotions and feeling can become form of punishments and rewards.
Thus they can be a great teaching tool, but they can also blunt and retard growth
if they become too much.
Yoga maintains balance between emotions and systematic thinking by reducing emotional impact.
This will happen in several ways including exercise induced chemical hormonal balance and endorphins.
However, much more complex effects resulting from yoga practice will help create and most
importantly maintain such balance.
Specific guided Yoga practice is one of most effective methods that can induce liquid state which provide
ideal state  for radical  therapy and behavior change, via psycho plasty, specially during schw asana, which can become a perfect state for highly effective (LST) Liquid State Therapy  .

MINI Meals Vs. regular three times day Meals
Here is a study and opinion about 6 per day mini meals vs. regular 3 courses.
I don't know if I agree with it %100 but I am not only not a mini-mealer
but eat only twice day  if not one.

I like to minimize eating side effect to as little as possible.
Side effects of eating for me includes;
1. Preparation including acquisition/shopping storing.
2. Eating including preparing and serving and
3. Post eating events like digestion, cleaning, dish washing even brushing teeth
and resting or food coma.
4. Negative consequences, may include indigestion, again food coma, restless night,
insomnia and possible difficult elimination...!
If you are like me or ask yourself, if that is lot of work and time spent for
something so risky,, then you could be like me.
I keep meals to  twice or even to one a day or skip it entirely.
Fasting is such a great thing to do sometimes. read.more
