Cellulite and Yoga
Q.Martiana Asks; After I had my first child I developed fat in or around
my mid section. Some cellulite also appeared . How yoga or yoga lifestyle
can help?
A.Masso Answers; Diet and exercise can help reduce the appearance of
cellulite by reducing fat and toning body. However, getting rid of cellulite pockets completely, particularly after it sets in (third stage), appears to
be nearly impossible.
Exercises are most effective if done right after child birth (first stage)
or when a person goes through a a drastic weight lose via a diet.

Q.JR asks; About meal portions, breakfast vs. heavier meal later on the day, which one is better?
A. Masso answers;
JR, it is all about personal preferences.
Healthy or unhealthy.
Breakfast as largest meal of the day has been established to be a healthy habit.
Habits easily change fast per practice.
Energetic breakfast can nourish you for an entire day and
stop you from getting hungry frequently.
Metabolic (burn and build);
More Energy burn (Anabolism) from breakfast, less building (Catalysm) from late day eating.
You decide.
You need more energy in the morning during the day and less build up from small dinner at night.
If you eat late, then all your food however small, will go for build up instead of energy.
You will add weight while your energy levels may diminish fast.
This is my solution for avoiding hassles of frequent eating, getting more energy, having to deal with digestive complications and weight managment.
Q. Dave asks what is Schw asana?
A. Masso answers;
schw-asana, Schwasana etc.. or whatever is called, is a state of near mental death and sometimes near physical death as well.
In Hindu Sanskrit, Shcw = Corpse, Asana = pose. Corp's Pose.
You can read a little more in my website.. look under
Schw asana is not really dying (like it says in Beatles song), it is more like bringing all your internal chatters and mental processes to near halt. A brief Mental vacation.
Imagine a computer running with most of its programs shut off one by one during practice of yoga, ready to focus in only one. Brilliant, isnt it?
This is done via visualization and mental tour guidance by yogi, a schw-asana guru.
Guide yogi can help navigate and find speedier paths to drop all thoughts.
Normally, best results are gained after a prolonged guided yoga session that ends is a deep schw asana or a liquid state in amodern psychological sense.
Real goal of yoga practice is to achieve deepest
Schw-asana possible since then one will be able to merge reincarnated as new and fresh.
During Schw asana, just like during hypnosis, ( open to suggestions) you can be instructed to create new pathways or change old undesired pathways.
This pathway alteration with certain repeat patterns can be taken to neural pathways level even. One can overcome old ways and gain new ways.
These suggestions, perfectly can address your needed or desired modifications to accomplish desired goals.
Once your mind learns to quiet down, you are ready to receive your planned instructions or you can just be quiet and gain energy.
Improve a bit more on your technique, you are ready to go on a spiritual tour as well.

Yoga Induced Injuries.
Q. Becca Asks; Can practicing yoga cause injury?
Can one get injured doing yoga ?
A. Masso Answers; Yes Becca , although seems gentle and performed with considerably less speed than most other practices, it is possible to sustain injuries doing yoga.
However some injuries are positive, corrective vs being negative.
Negative injuries are the ones which will cause further damage while positive injuries are corrective.
Most negative injuries occur due to holding a distorted position for a extended period or over-extending an asana.
There is another form of injury that due to sensitive mind/body nature of yoga stands out.
That is when we pose to balance distracted, sacrificing symmetry and favor a distortion to stay balance.
We may injure or extend a muscle or to favor another to keep balance.
We must avoid this injury by maintaining a true balance from inside out in such poses or seek aid from trainer or a prop.
Emotional factors also may cause injury (self inflicted) or simply an overly defensive posture may distort us.
Yoga practice can definitely create an effective vulnerability window for self anger or self punishment induced injuries.
Always meditate before starting a yoga session to eliminate any possible self anger.
Always maintain required symmetry by paying attention to all of your body parts when trying to pose balance.
Contact me if you want deeper information on this issue. To prevent, we must follow instructions carefully, maintain correct position in all of our poses, and pay internal mindful attention to our equilibrium, symmetry and balance.
Most of all rely on our sense of safety and trust it.
Body can take a lot if there is consideration for all the above and following a trusted guide without provoking a sense of defense.
Watch this video ,it may give you a better clue . But talking to your trainer is the best way to go. Set safety standards for yourself and educate your trainer about your limits and prior injuries.

Assertiveness new ..!
Q. Desiree` asks; I am constantly asked to perform tasks beyond my usual job requirements, how can I prevent such abuses, how can I be more assertive.
A. Masso answers
Desiree`, Key to being effectively assertive is being extra polite and sensible while forwarding your very fair and legit proposal.
Most people confuse assertiveness with aggressiveness.
Assertiveness is a skill to analyze and describe the parameters of an offered product/service requirements and walk away politely when no one is buying.
I.E., if you came to me and said , you seem to be needing extra and overtime secretarial services that are not within my designated job description with you, I.E. overtime, emergency, or WCO (work change orders).
Guess what; Actually and luckily I am in a position to help you...!:) :)
It happens that I do High quality freelance secretarial and typographic services for fee. I need this second job because I am not making enough on my other jobs.:(
I will be happy to do any sort of job at any odd time per emergency or none, you name it I will do it and all for a discount for you.
Why/ because you are my employer , my job depends on you and I like you a lot..:)
Off course between you and I, having me to do all sorts of work in all sorts of different time frames without extra pay is not that fair, right? If you encounter a WCO, you will charge extra wouldnt you? I do too but I will give you a discount.
The key to successful assertiveness is to be extra polite and sweet when you make the fair proposal and do not insist overly just explain more. If I find it reasonable and needed I will be a fool not to take it regardless of you being sweet or not.
But since I am slow and egotistic, I need that extra none aggressive sweet approach.
It has been said that what you say is important but how you say it is even more important. Shut up is different bthan Shut upp...!
Each produces totally different results. It may take a while but you can develop this skill which will make a lot of difference for your entire length life.
Happily you do have a sweet attitude, so all you have to do is mix some logic and fairness combine with analysis of what you actually do and offer it as sweetly as none aggressively as possible.
Desiree' , You already have a skill (sweetness) which is very hard if not impossible for some to attain. All you need is include the fair proposal within the sweet package.
This is your girl power, use it but be careful in the beginning until you learn it well..
